This training was developed as part of a leadership development program, with a focus on employment law, specifically harassment and discrimination. The presentation below covers both federal and state-specific laws.
Challenge
Due to the sociopolitical events occurring in 2020 and 2021, the City mandated that leaders participate in a mandatory discrimination prevention training. Given that leadership was coming back onsite and that a leadership development program was being implemented, this training was incorporated into those sessions.
Action
In order to prepare this training, I researched both federal and TN state laws regarding discrimination and harassment on a variety of demographic factors.
I also collaborated with others in HR to incorporate this training into the pre-scheduled leadership development program & presented the training to leaders.
